“Dirty Work” It’s Sick, it’s Dirty, It’s Their Job to clean it up.

Home Improvement

Best friends Mitch (Norm Macdonald) and Sam (Artie Lange) get into the dirty and often dangerous business of “Revenge for Hire” to pay for essential Heart Surgery for “Pops” Sam’s dad in the film “Dirty Work” directed by Bob Saget.  If the hapless pair had invested in a Large Ultrasonic Cleaner to make sure any mess was thoroughly cleaned up they wouldn’t have got themselves into quite as much trouble!  Mitch finds out that Pops is also his Dad after a hospital bedside confession by the elderly man after a serious stroke leaves him needing an emergency operation.

The Unscrupulous Doctor Farthing (Chevy Chase) demands $50,000 to put Pops at the top of the Transplant list so Sam and Mitch get into the “Revenge for Hire” business to make some quick money.  After the unfortunate pair are tricked into burning down an apartment building by ruthless Conman “Travis Cole” (Christopher McDonald) they think their luck has run out but Mitch has a tape recorder and captures Cole confessing all on tape.  Working with a loyal band of Prostitutes they set out to get revenge on Cole and end up playing the recording to a group of Newspaper Journalists at a Theatre.

Cole gives Sam and Mitch the $50,000, Pops survives a successful operation, Doctor Farthing overcomes his gambling habit that led to him being so devious and Mitch gets the girl he has fallen in love with.
